Liverpool have ramped up their efforts to sign RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, with the Merseyside club now prepared to table an offer close to €100 million for the Ivorian talent.
This represents an upgraded proposal from Liverpool’s initial approach, following ongoing transfer negotiations with the German Bundesliga side over the financial terms required to secure the 19 year old attacker.
Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain are also in the race but have not yet submitted a formal offer to Leipzig, as they wait for Diomande to indicate his preferred destination.
According to sources familiar with the situation, PSG currently trail Liverpool not only in terms of transfer fee but also when it comes to the personal terms being offered to the teenage sensation.
As things stand, Liverpool appear to hold the upper hand in the transfer battle, though the club is reportedly keeping alternative targets on their radar should the deal fail to materialise.
Separately, Liverpool have already wrapped up a deal for Spanish winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna, as reported on June 17, 2026.
Leipzig, however, have no intention of selling Diomande and are actively looking to tie him down to a new contract. Reports suggest a transfer fee north of €130 million would be needed to convince the German club to part ways with their prized asset.
Diomande enjoyed a standout Bundesliga campaign, missing just one league match due to international duty, while chipping in with 12 goals and nine (9) assists in 33 appearances, helping Leipzig clinch third place and secure a Champions League spot.
The in demand forward is currently representing Ivory Coast at the World Cup this summer and was named in the starting lineup for his nation’s opening group stage fixture against Ecuador.
